FSMTB 2025 Election Results
The 20th annual meeting of the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) was held October 5-7 in Kansas City, Missouri, with 45 member boards and agencies represented. Delegates elected three positions on the FSMTB Board of Directors and three positions on the 2026 Nominating Committee.
The following members were elected by the membership to serve a three-year term on the board of directors:
Sharon Oliver, Executive Director of the Maryland State Board of Massage Therapy Examiners
Nicole Davis, Board Member of the New Jersey Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy
The following member was elected by the membership to serve a two-year term on the board of directors:
John Price, Bureau Chief and Executive Officer of the Idaho Board of Massage Therapy
The following members were elected to serve a one-year term on the 2026 Nominating Committee:
Jan Shaw, Chair of the South Carolina Board of Massage Therapy
Charlene Russell, Former Vice Chair of the Mississippi State Board of Massage Therapy
Foad Araiinejad, Former member of the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy
Officers were elected at the Board of Directors meeting following the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. Elisabeth Barnard, Executive Director of the Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy, was elected to serve as president; Robert Ruark, Executive Director of the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists, was elected to serve as vice president; and Caroline Guerin, Presiding Officer of the Texas Massage Therapy Advisory Board, was elected to serve as treasurer.
Sincere thanks are extended to Craig Knowles, Chair of the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, who completed his term as Immediate Past President, and Paul Andrews, Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Massage Therapists who completed a one-year term of service on the FSMTB Board of Directors.
